Making friends in Iceland.
A great design is the culmination of a great concept, great story, great strategy, and great execution. It needs to move a brand forward, hit business objectives, and resonate on an emotional level with its intended audience. With all of these ingredients in mind, I aim to create work that works.
I've spent my career searching for diversity in the projects I work on and the people I work with. I've worked on large teams at international retail brands and have spent years independently freelancing for a variety of companies and agencies big and small. I'm currently in-house at a design and technology start-up, where I'm helping shape the future of web design.
Most of my inspiration comes from fashion, set design, architecture, nature, textiles, interior design, cinematography, and photography. When I'm not designing I'm probably hiking, reading, tending to my 20 house plants, practicing calligraphy, or taking a ceramics class. I'm an unapologetic TV lover (currently obsessed with Baskets and Atlanta, forever obsessed with Twin Peaks and The Twilight Zone). I also love to travel. My favorite places are Iceland and Laos.
I live in a cozy apartment in San Francisco's Richmond District with my husband Mike, who is also a designer. We're currently eating pizza and making room for our baby girl (due in June)!
